Hailing from kansas city and NYC, they met while working together at Powells book store in Portland, Oregon. We each started out with two cats, then together we had four, and then someone must have stuck a 'Cat Hotel' sign in front of our home....we were up to seven for a while.

Our daughter Miriam

Our daughter was born in 2001. She is basically a wild outdoor baby. She loves to help daddy "nanny" garden and work in the yard. She loves to hike in the "big woods", some national forest land is within walking distance of our home. She loves to hear stories. She also is a HUGE fan of the Tour de France and the Dakar Ralley. She helps us care for the kitties and sometimes we wonder if our little "Queen of the Kitties" isn't a kitty herself!
